Preparedness Resources for Business

Below are some updates and resources you may find helpful in regards to COVID-19 and potential impacts on your business:

From the Town of Drumheller:

The Town of Drumheller has issued a statement on COVID-19, and both businesses and residents are encouraged to visit www.dinosaurvalley.com/announcements/advice-on-the-coronavirus for updates.
**This would also be a good time to sign up for their newsletter if you haven't already- sign up box is to the right of the update at the link above.

From the Canadian Chamber of Commerce:
To help businesses prepare for and manage through a potential COVID-19 escalation in Canada, the CCC has prepared a guide to assist in business planning and continuity efforts. The COVID-19 web page also has a number of other timely resources.

From the Alberta Hotel & Lodging Association:
How Do I Protect My Staff and Guests?

To help protect your staff and guests against respiratory illnesses, including the flu and COVID-19, you should encourage your staff to:

• Encourage good hygiene practices. Encourage your staff to wash their hands frequently, and ensure that tissues and hand sanitizer are available throughout your property for all staff and visitors to use.

• Stay home if you aren’t feeling well. Encourage staff to stay at home and away from others if they are exhibiting flu-like symptoms, such as fever or a cough.

• Make sure you’re using your cleaning products properly. Check with the supplier of your cleaning products to ensure they are being used properly for disinfection in all areas of your hotel, including guest rooms, meeting rooms, public areas, and staff accommodations. Make sure to review these procedures with housekeeping staff.

• If you have concerns or have symptoms, contact your health provider. Contact your primary health provider or 811 Health Link if you have questions or concerns.
