Drumheller, AB – April 20, 2026 - The Drumheller & District Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Community Futures Big Country and the Town of Drumheller, is pleased to announce that $25,000 has been awarded to eight (8) local businesses through the 2026 Business Enhancement Grant Program.
The program supports local businesses in enhancing and modernizing their physical spaces, both interior and exterior, while helping to offset costs of improvements. By requiring recipients to source labour and materials locally from valid local businesses, the program also ensures that investment flows back into the community.
The eight (8) local businesses receiving funding this year are:
· Badlands Photography
· BertaBurritos
· Four Crows Market
· Four Season Gifts and Treasures
· Happy Belly Restaurant
· Napier Theatre
· Pioneer Trail Society
· Rockin’ Cowboy Badlands Outpost
Since its launch in 2021, the Business Enhancement Grant has supported a range of projects that contribute to a more vibrant and welcoming business environment. This initiative reflects ongoing commitment to strengthening local businesses and encouraging continued investment in Drumheller.
“The Chamber is delighted to continue this partnership with Community Futures and the Town of Drumheller,” said Heather Bitz, Executive Director of the Drumheller & District Chamber of Commerce. “The grant program has supported a range of projects – big and small – that enhance the look and feel of our business community and have a tangible economic impact.”
Michael Love, Executive Director of Community Futures, added “This program is a fantastic way to invest directly in local entrepreneurs. By helping businesses upgrade their spaces, we’re not just improving storefronts – we’re strengthening the backbone of our local economy.”
Esther Quiambao, Chief Administrative Officer for the Town of Drumheller, noted “We are proud to support initiatives that encourage local investment and growth. The Business Enhancement Grant reinforces our commitment to a vibrant, thriving community for everyone.”
The total value of all approved projects this year is estimated at over $100,000, reflecting significant reinvestment into Drumheller’s business community and economic vitality.
