World’s Largest Dinosaur Legacy Fund Now Accepting Applications

The Drumheller and District Chamber of Commerce (DDCC) is now accepting applications for its World’s Largest Dinosaur (WLD) Legacy Fund. The community investment program supports initiatives that strengthen economic development throughout the Drumheller region.

Funding is available to not-for-profit organizations and other formally organized community groups undertaking capital projects that provide direct or indirect economic benefits to the region. Applications will be accepted from August 1through to September 30, 2026 with funding requests of up to $25,000 per project.

“The World’s Largest Dinosaur Legacy Fund reflects the Chamber’s ongoing commitment to investing in projects that strengthen our community and support long-term economic development,” says Lana Phillips, President of the Drumheller &District Chamber of Commerce. “While we continue to navigate the future of the World’s Largest Dinosaur, we remain committed to reinvesting the proceeds it generates back into the Drumheller region. We encourage organizations with projects that will have a lasting positive impact to apply for funding.”

Since the Legacy Fund was established in 2004, the Drumheller & District Chamber of Commerce has invested more than $890,000 back into the local community. Funding has supported over 80 community organizations and local businesses, as well as a $250,000 contribution to the Town of Drumheller toward the construction of the Badlands Community Facility.
