The Drumheller and District Chamber of Commerce is capping off our 2018 Lunch & Learn series with a BANG, and switching gears to provide a 2-part morning education session! On Thursday, November 22 join us at the Canalta Jurassic Inn from 8:30am-12:00pm to learn about two great topics that will be beneficial to business owners, managers, team leads, HR, hiring staff, etc.:
Part 1- “Attraction/Recruitment and Selection”
Part 2- “Identifying Team Retention & Leadership Strategies”
Earlier this year, the Drumheller and District Chamber of Commerce implemented changes to the guidelines and application process for the World’s Largest Dinosaur (WLD) Legacy Fund. Each quarter a maximum of two (2) capital projects will be funded up to $2,500 each. Applications are now being accepted for the fourth quarter, ending December 31.
Not-for-profit groups and other formally organized groups are encouraged to apply. Funding is available for capital projects that benefit the community, but cannot be used to supplement operating revenue or for deferred maintenance projects.
The World’s Largest Dinosaur Legacy Fund invests a portion of funds generated by the WLD attraction and giftshop to enhance and enrich community economic development initiatives in the Drumheller region. To date the Legacy Fund has contributed over $615,000 to 36 community groups for a wide range of projects. View the full list here.
For complete program guidelines download the application form or call 403-823-8100. Physical copies of the application form are also available at the Chamber office.
The 5th annual Spring Expo Trade Show is Drumheller's annual home and garden-style spring trade show, featuring a variety of products and services, an entertainment stage, and the Taste of Drumheller food and beverage booths.
In 2019 it will take place in a new venue, the Badlands Community Facility, on April 26 & 27. Booths are already 25% sold, don't wait too long to book your space!
We hope your 2019 is off to a wonderful start. Each January we compile a report to the membership noting Chamber news and highlights from the past year, and what we have coming up so far this year. You can check out the 2018 Year in Review here
