Two electricity policy resolutions the Drumheller & District Chamber of Commerce (DDCC) co-sponsored with the Grande Prairie & District Chamber of Commerce have been approved by members of the Alberta Chambers of Commerce. The resolutions, Alberta’s Electricity System: A Balanced and Fair Playing Field for All Customers and Electrifying Alberta’s Grid were presented on May 28 at the Alberta Chambers of Commerce (ACC) AGM & Policy Session in Lethbridge. Both resolutions received strong support and will now be included in the ACC’s policy book for the next three years. The Alberta Chamber will advocate to the province for the recommendations put forward in the policy resolutions.

On Thursday, June 9 the Drumheller & District Chamber of Commerce, along with the Rotary Club of Drumheller, Town of Drumheller/Drumheller Valley FCSS and Travel Drumheller, partnered to host the 2022 Celebration of Excellence awards gala at the Badlands Community Facility. The evening celebrated individuals, organizations and businesses for their achievements and contributions to the community. Together the event partners handed out 12 awards.

Together the Drumheller and District Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club of Drumheller, Town of Drumheller and Travel Drumheller are pleased to announce the award finalists for the 2022 Celebration of Excellence. The awards will be presented on Thursday, June 9 at the Badlands Community Facility.
