The Drumheller and District Chamber of Commerce (DDCC) is once again accepting applications for its World’s Largest Dinosaur (WLD) Legacy Fund. The fund supports initiatives that enhance and enrich economic development in the Drumheller region.
Further to meetings held on April 15 and May 27 between the Drumheller & District Chamber of Commerce, Town of Drumheller and Travel Drumheller, the parties have engaged Williams Engineering to do a structural assessment on the World’s Largest Dinosaur. The assessment will include an estimate of the life expectancy in years for the main structure (including the stairwell) and the secondary structure (Tyra’s ‘skin’). Williams Engineering will report any additional findings and provide recommendations for any observed deficiencies, including recommended timelines for repair and high-level costs. The assessment will take place in early September, with a final report made available to the parties in the fall. The report will inform the parties' future discussions around the World's Largest Dinosaur beyond its current lease which ends December 2029.
The Drumheller & District Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club of Drumheller and Travel Drumheller have announced the finalists for the 2025 Celebration of Excellence. The annual awards gala recognizes individuals, businesses and organizations for their outstanding contributions to the Drumheller community.
This year’s event will take place on Thursday, June 12 at the Badlands Community Facility, honouring local achievements across business, sports, tourism and community development.
